Research and Development Project 5 Leader, Professor Hiroko Isoda of the University of Tsukuba, and Deputy Laboratory Director Kenichi Tominaga of the Open Innovation Laboratory for Food and Drug Resource Engineering, AIST and the University of Tsukuba,
have discovered the antidepressant effect of oleacein, a rare ingredient in olives.
